The APGQ is a group of agricultural entrepreneurs who specialize in producing sod in Quebec. The Association has a strong backing with over 80% of sod production in Quebec coming from its members. Alexandre Bastien is the president.

The first and largest association of its kind, Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) has been serving turfgrass seed and sod farmers, equipment manufacturers, educators, and others in the industry for nearly 60 years. TPI provides educational opportunities, material resources, field days and equipment demos to members, while also working diligently in PR, advocacy and regulatory affairs that affect the natural grass production industry globally. Beyond networking, TPI fosters strong, lifelong friendships.

Our seeds are mainly sourced from the distributor DLF.
DLF's professional grade turfgrass seeds have a higher resistance to disease, while offering better safety for players and reducing maintenance costs. They stand out for their enhanced genetic colour, a solid playing surface, fast growth to repair damage and options for limited sunlight, which are great for stadiums and different seasons.

The turfgrass we grow at Gazon Bastien meets the B.N.Q Standard NQ0605-300-/2019 - Plant nursery and grass products (self-identified): Sod standards - classification, characteristics and supplies - specifications.

Charter of the French Language
The Office québécois de la langue française confirms that the company Gazonnière Bastien et Fils inc., located at 4535B, chemin Martin, Terrebonne, Quebec, J6X 0B2, is registered with the Office in accordance with the Charter of the French Language. It must send an analysis of its linguistic status and implement a Francization program approved by the Office, if applicable, according to the timelines set out in the Charter.

Our grass seed mixes are A-LIST turfs.
A-LIST turfs are an independent non-profit initiative in the industry that help promote sustainable grass varieties and related products with lower maintenance needs that benefit the environment. A-LIST is a voluntary program that promotes conserving water, reducing traffic and the use of fertilizers, and improving heat and drought tolerance, all without the use of fungicides or insecticides.

Our grass seed mixes are TWCA turfs.
The Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance (TWCA) is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing water-saving turfgrass through rigorous scientific qualification. TWCA Qualified varieties use up to 40% less water, helping communities preserve green spaces while protecting vital resources. By testing with research collaborators across North America, TWCA reduces confounding factors such as soil type, heat, and pest management from results.
